Kamala Harris attacks Joe Biden's race record in Democratic debate
The first day of the Democratic National Convention was full of energy and optimism about the change of course, even as the party itself struggled with a large influx of attendees, long security lines and a crowded lineup that left Joe Biden could no longer appear on TV.
Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD), who had previously received one of the best speaking engagements, was unmoved as he left the United Center just after 11 p.m.
“What a night,” he told Deadline. “I couldn’t have imagined it would go any better.”
