Descendants: The Rise Of Red Breaks Record With 3-Day Viewing Figures On Disney+
With 6.7 million views in its first three days on streaming, the film is now the most-watched DCOM premiere ever on the Disney Branded Television streamer, according to Disney.
That’s a fairly large number for any Disney+ release, though it’s tricky to directly compare to other titles since the streamer has been inconsistent with its reporting viewing numbers. Earlier this year, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour debuted the film to 4.6 million views in three days.
When Percy Jackson and the Olympians debuted in December, Disney+ released six-day ratings for that series. In June, Disney released one-day ratings for The Acolyte , which came in at around 4.8 million views. The streamer later circulated five-day ratings for that premiere. Loki Season 2 also posted three-day ratings in October. As one of the most popular series on Disney+, it generated more than 10 million views during that period.
