The D23 panel, streaming at 8:30 p.m. PT/11:30 p.m. ET, will be hosted live by parks and experiences director Josh D'Amaro and "a few special guests" and will include revelations about Disney's partnership with Fortnite.
In February, Disney CEO Bob Iger announced that the company had invested $1.5 billion in “Fortnite” developer Epic Games for its “largest foray into gaming ever” with a Disney universe working together within the online platform that will “offer a multitude of ways for consumers to play, watch, shop and interact with content, characters and stories from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, ‘Star Wars,’ ‘Avatar’ and more.”
Since then, Disney and Epic have remained quiet about the details of the project, until a Fortnite livestream from Disney's gaming news event at D23 was announced.
