Top 10 Things You Missed in Joker Folie a Deux
Here's everything you need to know about the child Lee says he's having with Arthur.
In Joker: Folie à Deux, Lee visits Arthur in solitary confinement and they have an awkward sexual encounter. It’s dreamlike, but it does happen. Arthur later learns that Lee has been telling him lies about her family and where she grew up. When he confronts her, Lee makes the claim about her pregnancy. Arthur is understandably shocked and the conversation shifts to a future where they are together.
Towards the end of the film, Arthur escapes from the courthouse after a car bomb explodes outside, and his path leads him back to the staircase seen in the first film. Lee is there, as he had hoped. But instead of running away with him, she says goodbye. When a confused and broken Arthur tries to remind her of the child they are supposedly having, Lee sings the second and third verses of "That's Entertainment," a song that appears in The Band Wagon (1953), a film the couple had previously watched together.
