New Doctor Who Spin-Off Series, 'The War Between The Land And The Sea' Announced | Disney Plus News
A new Doctor Who spin-off was announced at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, with two familiar characters from the series returning to reprise their roles.
Disney Branded Television and the BBC announced that the all-new spin-off will be called The War Between The Land And The Sea. Doctor Who showrunner and executive producer Russell T Davies co-wrote the spin-off with Pete McTighe (A Discovery of Witches).
Production on The War Between The Land And The Sea begins next month, and will air exclusively on Disney+, BBC One and BBC iPlayer. While an exact release date has not yet been announced, it has been revealed that the five-part series will be directed by Doctor Who Season 1 co-director Dylan Holmes-Williams, who directed 73 Yards and Dot and Bubble.
