The first season of Doctor Who with Ncuti Gatwa as the Doctor has come to an end. Of course, the biggest question we had about Ruby (Millie Gibson) and her parents has been answered, but there are still a few loose ends.

MRS FLOOD IS WHO…? [DOCTOR WHO'S GREATEST UNANSWERED MYSTERIES EXPLAINED! – SEASON ONE/TWO THEORIES!]

After all, we know the show is coming back, with a Christmas special (starring Nicola Coughlan!) and a second season, featuring both Gibson and a new companion in Varada Sethu. And the season 1 finale ended with a fair warning for the Doctor, from the mysterious Mrs. Flood (Anita Dobson), whose every appearance only leaves us with more questions (and zero answers). And what about some loose ends from the 60th anniversary specials that haven’t been addressed yet?

Below, we discuss the burning questions we'd like to see answered as Doctor Who continues.

Mrs Flood was introduced in the 2023 Christmas special as Ruby's neighbour, and there were already a lot of question marks surrounding her after she didn't seem to recognise the TARDIS and then later did, speaking directly to the camera. She then appeared in season 1, leaving us with even more to guess. She called the Doctor "clever boy", much like her former companion Clara (Jenna Coleman). (She also wore an outfit very similar to Clara's.) She apparently knew about Sutekh ("He waits no more"). There's her "Then tell your Maker, I will come to storm his golden gates and seize his kingdom in my true name" line, and she also talks about the "plans" she had before she turned to dust with everyone in the season finale. And then there she was on the roof with that warning (scroll down) about the Doctor, in a white fur coat, carrying a suitcase and a parasol, similar to Romana (Mary Tamm, then Lalla Ward), a Time Lord who was the companion of the Fourth Doctor (Tom Baker).
