As the major networks began their primetime coverage of the convention, former President Donald Trump arrived at the Fiserv Forum to the music of Lee Greenwood singing “Proud To Be An American.”

He received warm applause for his first major public appearance since the assassination attempt last weekend.
Trump occasionally raised his fist in the air, but he also appeared more subdued than during his entrances at rallies and other events.
When he arrived, the crowd chanted, “Fight. Fight. Fight,” echoing what Trump said after he took the stage in Butler, PA, and raised his fist in the air. A bandage was over his ear, covering the wound from when a bullet grazed the side of his head.
