Romualdez said members of the House of Representatives would like to know from the government's economic managers “how the country can sustain its economic growth and how such growth can benefit our people.”
The Development Budget Coordination Committee (DBCC) will meet on Monday, August 5, before the House Committee on Appropriations.
“Our economic expansion, projected by multilateral financial institutions at 5.9-6.2 percent next year, should be felt by our people, especially the poor, in terms of more jobs and income opportunities, more affordable food on the table and lower consumer prices,” Romualdez said.
