Edge of Tomorrow 2 update from director Doug Liman
Speaking to Collider, Doug Liman acknowledged that now would be the right time to make an Edge of Tomorrow sequel given the immense stardom of Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt, saying he's "trying to crack it."
Liman said in the interview, "I mean, Emily Blunt and Tom Cruise have never been better than they are now. I'd be crazy not to try to, you know, figure out how to make a sequel. So I'm spending time trying to crack it."
However, the director also acknowledged the hardships that come with conceptualizing a script that involves time travel. During further updates on Edge of Tomorrow 2 , The Bourne Identity director said, "Time travel is really hard. All you have to do is develop a time travel movie and come to the conclusion that people will never travel through time, because it's hard to imagine a third act in a time travel movie."
