Elle King says her drunken Dolly Parton tribute was the result of 'a high level of pain'
Elle King is looking back on her controversial, boozy Grand Ole Opry Dolly Parton tribute from earlier this year.
The singer-songwriter opened up about what happened during Parton's 78th birthday performance. King revealed in a new interview that she asked for an intervention after the controversial performance.
“After everything that happened in January, I went into a different kind of therapy program because I was very sad and no one really knows what I went through behind closed doors,” King said on the podcast Off the Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe.
