Why Elon Musk is Suing OpenAI and Sam Altman
EXCLUSIVE: It seems like not a day goes by without Elon Musk being sued or threatening to sue someone. And now the owner of X/Twitter is embroiled in yet another legal battle with OpenAI, with a twist.
Former OpenAI co-founder Musk will once again face off against his old partners CEO Sam Altman and President Greg Brockman in a recently filed lawsuit in federal court, in what could be one of the biggest tests yet for the wild growth of the OpenAI company and the hundreds of billions on the table.
“The treachery and deceit are of Shakespearean proportions,” reads the fraud and breach of contract lawsuit (read here) filed this morning in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
