Elton John has 'limited vision' after 'SEVERE' eye infection
Elton John, who is recovering from a serious eye infection that has left him with "limited vision in one eye," gave an update on his condition while visiting Variety's studio at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival.
John was there to promote his new documentary, “Elton John: Never Too Late,” which chronicles the musician’s journey to becoming one of the world’s biggest rock stars, including his historic performances at Los Angeles’ Dodger Stadium in 1975 before more than 100,000 fans and again in 2022 as the final North American stop on his “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” tour.
John confessed that he was unable to attend the screening at the festival due to his impaired vision caused by his infection: "I couldn't really see it because of my eye, but I felt it. I'd seen it before. I don't know. Seeing it with an audience is much more emotional than just sitting with a group of people. I got more out of it last night than I did the first time I saw it, and it hit me harder."
