Lily Collins and Lucas Bravo on Filming Emily's Steamy Carriage Scene in Paris
For Lucas Bravo, who plays dreamy chef and restaurateur Gabriel on Darren Star's "Emily in Paris," the fourth season of Netflix's lighthearted romantic dramedy marked a return to the sassy, playful Gabriel of old.
“When you’re in a character and you’re sad and melancholy and you’re chasing something that’s drifting away from you, it feels good to reconnect with that flirtatious playfulness — and to finally play a relationship between two people who actually want to be in one,” Bravo tells Variety.
The relationship in question is between Gabriel and Lily Collins' Emily Cooper, the cheerful American marketing executive who has been gradually adjusting to life in Paris. After four seasons of will-they-or-won't-they, Emily finally decides that she wants to be with Gabriel, the charming neighbor who was one of her first friends in the City of Love — despite the fact that Gabriel's ex, Camille (Camille Razat), is pregnant with Gabriel's first child. (Or so they think.)
