Atlanta Olympic bomber Eric Rudolph is now serving a life sentence for the July 1996 Centennial Park explosion and a series of other bombings. Rudolph went on a crime spree in the mid- and late 1990s, orchestrating multiple explosions. He also landed on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted List. In 1998, the bomber was indicted for the Centennial Olympic Park, New Woman Clinic, and Otherside nightclub bombings in Atlanta. However, authorities were unable to apprehend him until his arrest in North Carolina in 2003.
Eric Rudolph, notorious as the Atlanta Olympics bomber, reportedly pleaded guilty to multiple charges in 2005. These charges stemmed from the Alabama abortion clinic bombings and three additional explosions in the Atlanta area. He was ultimately given multiple life sentences as part of the plea deal he accepted to avoid the death penalty.
According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Atlanta Olympics bomber Eric Rudolph is now serving time at the United States Penitentiary in Florence, Colorado. The facility is commonly known as USP Florence ADMAX. The 57-year-old inmate is serving multiple life sentences for a series of bombings he committed in the mid- to late-1990s.
