ComingSoon is excited to debut the exclusive trailer for Alien: Rubicon, the upcoming action sci-fi mockbuster film. It comes from The Asylum, the production company best known for hit mockbusters like the Sharknado films, Z Nation, and Ape vs. Monster.

"An alien spaceship crash-lands in the ocean just off the coast of New York City, effortlessly destroying everything in its vicinity without moving," reads the film's official synopsis. "The military investigates as the spaceship heads inland, easily destroying everything around it. They discover that it is a probe, sent EXPLICITLY to have them throw everything they have at it as it heads straight for Washington, D.C. If it reaches the capital, it will destroy it and send a signal to the rest of their kind to come down and destroy the rest of the planet. Everything we throw at the ship fails and it's up to the scientists and military to figure out how to stop the unstoppable before it's too late."
Alien: Rubicon is scheduled to debut in theaters and on digital platforms on August 23. Select theaters include Laemmle Glendale in Glendale, California; Hickory Ridge Cinemas in Brunswick, Ohio; Trylon Cinema in Minneapolis, Minnesota; Film Noir Cinema in Brooklyn, New York; and Aurora Cineplex in Roswell, Georgia.
