ComingSoon debuts an exclusive clip from the upcoming Apple TV+ true crime documentary Cowboy Cartel, which follows the takedown of a powerful Mexican drug cartel. The documentary is scheduled to air on Apple TV+ on August 2, 2024.

From directors Dan Johnstone and Castor Fernandez, Cowboy Cartel tells the story of Scott Lawson, an inexperienced FBI agent from rural Tennessee who is part of an investigation into the Treviño brothers, Omar Treviño Morales and Miguel Treviño Morales, the leaders of Los Zetas, one of the most powerful cartels in Mexico.
The upcoming documentary is a four-part series, with Lawson and others discussing the ways the cartel used horse-drawn drugs and other operations to hide their crimes from law enforcement.
