Osmundo Rivero was identified by the widow of former Zamboanga del Sur barangay captain Napoleon Casocot as the gunman who shot dead her husband during a police operation in April 2019.
“The widow of the late barangay captain Napoleon Casocot was able to identify Mr. Rivero as the suspect when he appeared on national television,” the document said.
Under the pseudonym Jason Castro Bakiki, Rivero was allegedly used by local police as a civilian who gave a sworn statement in connection with the application for a search warrant for Casocot's home.
