'The Bride': First Trailer for Venice Horizons Title
Fandango Sales has acquired worldwide distribution rights outside of Italy to “Feeling Better” (“Nonostante”), the hospital drama from Italian actor-director Valerio Mastandrea that takes place in a hospital. The film opens the Venice Film Festival’s Horizons section, which focuses on new trends in world cinema.
“Feeling Better” — which also stars the Roman actor — marks Mastandrea’s second directorial effort following his 2018 feature debut “Laughing” (“Ride”), which launched at the Turin Film Festival and toured the festival circuit.
In “Feeling Better,” Mastandrea plays a man who “spends his days peacefully in a hospital, without many worries,” according to the included synopsis. He’s been there for a while, sheltered from everything and everyone, without responsibilities or problems, until a new patient — played by Argentine Dolores Fonzi (“Paulina”) — arrives in the ward.
