The Featherweight trailer for Robert Kolodny's upcoming sports biographical drama has been released, nearly a year after the film made its world premiere at the 2023 Venice International Film Festival.
"The Featherweight" | The Knockout Boxing Movie Coming Soon
"Set in the mid-1960s, the film presents a gripping chapter in the true story of Italian-American boxer Willie Pep, the most successful fighter of all time, who, in his mid-40s and with his personal life in shambles, decides to return to the ring, only to have a documentary camera crew enter his life," the film's official synopsis reads. "Meticulously researched and constructed, the film is a visceral portrait of the discontents of twentieth-century American masculinity, fame and self-perception."
