The Philippine Economy in 2 Minutes
The survey found that perceptions of the national economy and household finances remained stable in both the first and second quarters.
Respondents were optimistic about the current state (51%) and direction (68%) of the country, as well as the national economy (68%) and financial outlook (70%). Notably, government employees showed the most improved views.
However, there is growing dissatisfaction with the country's state, direction and economic prospects among the 18-24 age group and non-working individuals. Limited education and employment opportunities contribute to their negative feelings.
