EXCLUSIVE: Good news for arthouse filmmakers and companies abroad with the launch of a new U.S. distributor for international films: Room 8 Films.
The LA-based company, founded by Rachelle Shukman, formerly of Ramo Law PC and sales firm Fortitude International, and Annie White, a fashion merchandising graduate, says it has private investment from Silicon Valley.
The first three films that debuted at last year's Venice, Toronto and Busan film festivals are scheduled to be released, with the company later picking up American indie films.
