The TCAs are here and with them come a bunch of first-look photos from several upcoming Apple TV+ Originals, including Sugar, Presumed Innocent, Dark Matter, Franklin, and Land of Women.

Colin Farrell headlines Sugar, an eight-episode drama premiering April 5 on Apple TV+. Farrell plays John Sugar, a private investigator who unravels the mystery surrounding the disappearance of Olivia Siegel, granddaughter of Hollywood producer Jonathan Siegel. The show offers a modern twist on the classic detective genre. Other cast members include Kirby, Amy Ryan, James Cromwell, Anna Gunn, Dennis Boutsikaris, Nate Corddry, Sydney Chandler and Alex Hernandez. Episodes will be released weekly every Friday after the first three air on the premiere date.

Jake Gyllenhaal, meanwhile, is the star and executive producer of Presumed Innocent , a limited series based on the best-selling novel by Scott Turow. Premiering on June 14, the series follows Chief District Attorney Rusty Sabich, played by Gyllenhaal, as he investigates a murder that shakes the Chicago District Attorney’s Office to its core. The series delves into themes of obsession, sex, politics, and the dynamics of love. The cast includes Ruth Negga, Bill Camp, Elizabeth Marvel, Peter Sarsgaard, O.T. Fagbenle, and Renate Reinsve. Episodes will debut every Friday, with the first two on the debut date and subsequent episodes airing through July 26.

Dark Matter is a sci-fi thriller based on Blake Crouch’s best-selling novel. The 9-episode show premieres on May 8 and stars Joel Edgerton, Jennifer Connelly, Alice Braga, Jimmi Simpson, Dayo Okeniyi, and Oakes Fegley. Exploring the concept of the road not taken, the series follows Jason Dessen (Edgerton), a physicist who is abducted into an alternate version of his life while wandering Chicago. Episodes will air every Wednesday from May 8 to June 26, beginning with the first two on the debut date. The story delves into Dessen’s challenges as he navigates a labyrinth of alternate realities to reunite with his real family and face a formidable adversary: himself.
