Paramount+ unveiled the first clip and photos from the third season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds on Saturday, with Cillian O'Sullivan (In from the Cold) also announced as a recurring guest star for the upcoming season, playing the role of Dr. Roger Korby.

Korby, a character first introduced in Star Trek: The Original Series and portrayed by Michael Strong, is a renowned archaeologist and scientist known for his groundbreaking work in the field of medical archaeology.
The team also revealed today that Scotty, the iconic Star Trek character known for serving as the chief engineer aboard the starship USS Enterprise, will be a series regular in Season 3. Additionally, according to EP Akiva Goldsman, the season will feature "a Hollywood murder mystery [episode] rooted in the reality of Star Trek." Today’s Strange New Worlds news came out of Paramount+’s Star Trek universe panel at San Diego Comic-Con, which took place in Hall H. Among the show’s representatives at the panel were cast members Rebecca Romijn and Ethan Peck, along with executive producers Alex Kurtzman, Goldsman, and Henry Alonso Myers.
