EXCLUSIVE: EastEnders alumna Florisa Kamara has landed a series regular role in Peacock's new series The Day Of The Jackal, opposite Eddie Redmayne and Lashana Lynch, Deadline has learned.
The series is based on the novel by Frederick Forsyth and the 1973 film adaptation by Universal Pictures, but has been reimagined as a contemporary story set in today's turbulent geopolitical landscape and will delve deeper into the chameleon-like 'anti-hero'.
As previously announced, Redmayne will play The Jackal, an unparalleled and highly elusive lone assassin, and Lynch will portray Bianca, a tenacious MI6 agent in a relentless, globe-trotting pursuit to catch him. We’re hearing that Kamara will play Lynch’s daughter, Jasmine.
