Former Argentine President Alberto Fernandez on Tuesday denied allegations that he was violent toward his ex-partner and former first lady Fabiola Yanez.

Yanez, who currently lives in Spain with their son, had accused Fernandez of gender-based violence in an Argentine judge, as well as psychological abuse and telephone harassment, local media reported.
Fernandez said in a post on X that he learned of the accusation through the media and that he planned to provide the court with evidence to prove his innocence.
“I will simply say that it is untrue and that what she accuses me of never happened,” Fernandez said. “I will provide evidence and testimonies before the courts to show what really happened.”
