A new Tesla Cybertruck reward is available as part of today’s Fortnite update, but it seems some people aren’t happy about the addition. While it’s not uncommon for players to criticize certain gameplay features or cosmetics, it’s far more unusual for the game’s developers to claim that “the truck looks f*****g idiotic” and encourage players to “destroy on sight.”

The Tesla Cybertruck is part of a bundle that can be earned by completing nine Fortnite Summer Road Trip Quests. The quests will unlock at a rate of one per day between today, July 23, and July 31, but players have until August 6 to complete the quests and get all the rewards for free. The Cybertruck skin is also eligible for cross-game ownership within Rocket League, which will have its own Rocket League Summer Road Trip event with tasks to unlock the bundle there. Alternatively, the Tesla Cybertruck Bundle will also be available in the Fortnite Shop when update v30.40 arrives on August 6.
Not all of the game's developers are happy about the Cybertruck collaboration. Eurogamer spotted one developer saying, "Reminder that opinions are mine and mine alone. Destroy on sight [middle finger emoji]," before blocking his X account (formerly Twitter).
