Trey Yingst has been promoted to chief foreign correspondent and will publish an account of his reporting on Hamas attacks on Israel for the network's book.
Trey Yingst—Fox News foreign correspondent
Yingst joined the network as a foreign correspondent in 2018. Since then, he has covered the war in Ukraine and the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, and has served in Hamas’s Al-Qassam Brigades and the Israeli military. He has also interviewed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Haqqani Terror Network leader Anas Haqqani.
The book, Black Saturday, will be published on October 1 by Fox News Books. Yingst was in Tel Aviv when the surprise Hamas attacks on Israel began. The book will be "a vivid picture of the horror and violence matched by acts of courage and humanity that cut through the darkness on the morning of October 7," the network said. It will feature interviews with freed hostages, Israeli soldiers and Palestinian civilians, as well as Israeli and Hamas leaders.
In a statement, Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott said Yingst "has been the eyes and ears on the ground for our viewers since 2018. Trey's tireless work ethic and dedication across multiple war zones have made him an incredible asset to Fox News and we are extremely proud of his world-class journalism."
