Francis Ford Coppola is among those being honored by the Directors Guild of America at the upcoming DGA Honors ceremony.

Susan Zirinsky, president of See It Now Studios and former CBS News executive, Broadway Stages founder Tony Argento, along with CEO and president Gina Argento, and film distribution company Criterion have also been selected as guests for the event, which will be held on October 17 at the DGA Theater in New York City.
“We are incredibly proud to celebrate the 25th anniversary of DGA Honors and recognize the achievements of visionary storytellers who have profoundly influenced American culture through their tremendous contributions to film and television,” DGA President Lesli Linka Glatter said in a statement. “Our honorees have demonstrated unparalleled dedication, creativity and passion for our craft.”
In her statement, she said Coppola “left an indelible mark on cinema and inspired generations of directors.”
