What is behind the rising anti-Semitism in France?

Oscar-winning director and screenwriter Michel Hazanavicius has expressed his concerns about rising anti-Semitism in a moving opinion piece in the French newspaper Le Monde.

The French-born director is descended from Jewish grandparents who fled persecution in Lithuania and Poland in the 1920s and built new lives in France, but were forced to flee again during World War II.
