During budget talks on Tuesday, Northern Samar Representative Paul Daza asked Pagcor Chairman Al Tengco if it is possible to learn from the POGO experience and make a better version.
"Now in most industries, Chairman, we are improving the product 'di ba? Like when Microsoft Word came out, we have version one, 1.1, I think version 10 na yata tayo ngayon. Is it now Pagcor's mandate to — because there is no problem with POGOs, can't we now come up with a better version of POGO that now encourages a level up, learns from experience, filters out the bad elements, comes up with a better version that would help the economy," Daza asked.
Tengco responded: “So while the mandate today, the instruction from the President today is to scale down operations of everything until the end of the year, but who knows, maybe later we can study and see if it is possible to have some kind of improved version as you mentioned.”
