The release date for Furiosa Max has been set for George Miller's Mad Max: Fury Road prequel starring Anya Taylor-Joy.

Furiosa was released earlier this year and is the fifth installment in Miller's Mad Max series. In addition to Taylor-Joy, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga also stars Christopher Hemsworth, Tom Burke, Alyla Browne, Quaden Bayles, Daniel Webber and Lachy Hulme.

Warner Bros. Discovery has officially set the release date for Furiosa Max for August 16, 2024, when the film will hit the streaming platform.

"As the world falls, young Furiosa is torn from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a vast Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus. They rampage through the Wasteland and encounter the Citadel led by The Immortan Joe. As the two Tyrants battle for power, Furiosa must survive many trials as she gathers the resources to find her way home."
