Twisters | Exclusive Deleted Scene | Glen Powell, Daisy Edgar-Jones
After the negative reactions to the removal of the kissing scene between the two leads in Twisters, Glen Powell thinks everyone is still a 'winner' and finds it funny that audiences actually 'care' about the disaster film.
Twisters, directed by Lee Isaac Chung — a standalone sequel to the 1996 Bill Paxton-led Twister — centers on the efforts of storm chasers to tame a massive tornado in Oklahoma. While the film earned impressive box office returns, most viewers were unhappy with the missing kiss scene between Powell's Tyler Owens and Daisy Edgar-Jones's Kate Carter. Now, the actor is responding to the outrage over the film's final cut.
"I take it very personally! I'm sure you saw the behind-the-scenes where I got to kiss Daisy Edgar-Jones, and that's really all that matters. [Laughs] We had a great time and I'm really proud of the movie," Powell told ScreenRant. "I really think even that [backlash] shows that people care, which is really great. I love how excited people have been about that movie, and Daisy and I send each other the TikToks and the gifs."
