One of Reigle's killers, Daniel Bixler, later pleaded guilty to charges stemming from the case and described the events leading up to the murder. Bixler claimed that he and his then 17-year-old girlfriend, Nicole Peters, had planned the crime together. The pair took Reigle to the railroad tracks, where Bixler murdered her.
