Gotham Expo 2024: BSRF [LIVE]
Gotham Week will feature the third annual Gotham Week Expo and a revamped Project Market, showcasing narrative and documentary features, as well as additional projects through the Global Producers Hub. Additionally, previously announced Series Creators to Watch and Branded Storytellers to Watch will be highlighted, with a variety of filmmaker conversations and screenings presented.
Gotham’s Project Market is described as a convening-driven forum that connects new fiction and documentary projects in development with key industry executives interested in identifying projects for development, financing, or distribution. The Market will include sections such as Features in Development, Shorts to Features, Spotlight on Documentaries, and Global Producers Hub, each highlighting a wide range of established and emerging voices in film and media.
This year, 112 projects and filmmakers will participate in the market. Notably, Lily Gladstone will present Buffalo Stone , which she co-wrote and produced, with co-writer-directors Daniel Glick and Ivy Macdonald and producers Ivan MacDonald and Sarah Clarke, as part of the US Features in Development section. The brand new Shorts to Features section will feature projects from notable teams such as Plaisir , written and directed by Molly Gillis, with Tara Sheffer and Maria Altamirano (All Dirt Roads Taste of Salt) as producers.
