According to An Iskooper, Poe caught the attention of Malacañang because of her legislative agenda, which includes support for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.
With Poe's Senate term ending in 2025, Iskooper said she could oversee the implementation of DTI projects until 2028 if she is confirmed to head the agency.
Moreover, having Poe in the cabinet would allow Marcos to forge alliances, especially as his political rivalry with Duterte is only set to intensify after the 2025 elections.
