Senator Grace Poe is heartbroken by the death of iconic film producer Lily Monteverde.

Poe was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of her Ninang mother Lily. She was grateful for the love and support she received from her.

Monteverde, the matriarch of the film production company Regal Entertainment, died Sunday, her family confirmed. She was 85.

“I am so sad and sorry to hear that Mother Lily has passed away. My Ninang Mother always believed in me and assured me when I doubted myself,” she said.
