O’Connell is set to develop “Headcase” at the Cork-based prod-co, a drama/comedy about a troubled local street performer and his motley crew of friends searching for deeper meaning, including a former boxing champion sister and an agoraphobic buddy. The scripted series will also explore mental health issues in modern-day Cork, with O’Connell drawing on his own experiences.
Kenney, meanwhile, plans to develop "People Do Bad Things," about good people on the fringes of society who find that their lives aren't quite turning out the way they'd hoped.
"Grace's suicide attempt is interrupted by a young thief named Jack, who catches Grace breaking into her home," the synopsis reads. "With nothing else to lose, Grace offers to help him rob her, leading Grace to become involved with a gang of criminals whom she influences to use their skills for good."
