Grotesquerie | Teaser | Niecy Nash-Betts, Courtney B. Vance, Lesley Manville, Travis Kelce | FX
“In Grotesquerie, a series of horrific crimes have left a small community reeling. For Detective Lois Tryon, the crimes are eerily personal, as if someone—or something—is taunting her. At home, Lois struggles with a strained relationship with her daughter, a long-term hospitalized husband, and her own inner demons,” the official logline reads. “With no leads and unsure where to turn, she accepts help from Sister Megan, a nun and journalist with the Catholic Guardian. Sister Megan, with her own troubled past, has seen the worst of humanity, but she still believes in humanity’s capacity for good. Lois, on the other hand, fears that the world is being destroyed by evil. As Lois and Sister Megan piece together clues, they become entangled in a sinister web that only seems to raise more questions than answers.”
