'Hacks' co-creators Lucia Aniello and Paul W Downs sign overall deal with
In a highly competitive field, Emmy-winning Hacks co-creator Jen Statsky has signed an exclusive, multi-year deal with Warner Bros. Television Group, her first with the studio. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Under the pact, Statsky will develop original series through its First Thought Productions banner across all platforms, including Warner Bros. Discovery’s HBO and Max, third-party streaming services and U.S. broadcast networks. Statsky was previously based at Universal Television, where Hacks is produced.
Statsky co-created, with Lucia Aniello and Paul W. Downs, the multiple Emmy-winning Max comedy series Hacks, which has been renewed for a fourth season. Season three is currently nominated for 17 Emmy Awards, with Statsky nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series and Writing for a Comedy Series with Aniello & Downs.
