Twenty years later, Halle Berry reflects on her solo career in Washington DC and what went wrong.
Halle Berry admits 'Catwoman' script felt 'a little soft' but she didn't think the negative reactions were 'great'
The Academy Award winner reflected on 2004's Catwoman to mark the film's 20th anniversary, explaining why she went along with the film's low-stakes plot without any qualms.
"I always thought the idea of Catwoman saving women from face cream was a little soft," Berry told Entertainment Weekly. "All the other superheroes are saving the world; they're not just saving women from chapped faces. I always knew that was a soft superhero thing to do, but at that point in my career, I didn't have the power that I have now or the belief that I could challenge that, so I went with it."
Catwoman was directed by Pitof and stars Berry as Patience Phillips, a graphic designer who discovers a conspiracy at the cosmetics company where she works to cover up widespread health problems caused by a new product.
