Halo TV series canceled on Paramount Plus after two seasons – IGN The Fix: Entertainment
The news comes a few months after Season 2 of the live-action video game adaptation premiered on the streamer in February. Amblin Television, Xbox and 343 Industries are currently promoting Halo in hopes of finding it a new home, Deadline understands.
“We are incredibly proud of this ambitious series and would like to thank our partners at Xbox, 343 Industries and Amblin Television, along with showrunner and executive producer David Wiener, his fellow executive producers, the entire cast led by Pablo Schreiber as Master Chief, and the incredible crew for all their outstanding work. We wish everyone the very best for the future,” a Paramount+ spokesperson said in a statement Thursday.
Added 343 Industries: "We deeply appreciate the millions of fans who have made the Halo series a global success, and we remain committed to expanding the Halo universe in a variety of ways in the future. We are grateful to Amblin and Paramount for their partnership in bringing our expansive sci-fi universe to audiences around the world."
