EXCLUSIVE: Hammer Films is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year and Sky is joining in.
The British pay-TV network has teamed up with the iconic horror studio and Cardiff-based Deep Fusion Films to create Hammer: Heroes, Legends and Monsters. The film will be released in November, marking the legendary production company's 90th anniversary.
The 90-minute documentary follows Hammer's rise from a back-off on London's Regent Street to its iconic status within the horror film genre. Founded by comedian and businessman William Hinds in 1934, the company made films including The Curse of Frankenstein, Dracula and The Quartermass Xperiment in the period for which it is best known, and made stars of Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing.
