Popular K-pop boy band Stray Kids has extended its contract with JYP Entertainment. On July 18, 2024, the agency released a statement confirming the update. Their contract expires in 2025, but the group's eight members decided to continue their professional relationship with JYP a year earlier.
STRAY KIDS sent a touching message to STAY after reportedly renewing their contract with JYP Ent.
JYP Entertainment formed Stray Kids (SKZ) with members Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Han, Hyunjin, Felix, Seungmin and IN. Originally consisting of nine members, Kim Woo-Jin left the band in 2019. The K-pop group has come a long way since then and is slowly conquering the global market. This year, they made history by becoming the first K-pop band to attend the 2024 Met Gala.

JYP Entertainment released a statement on Thursday, July 18, 2024, regarding the contract renewal with Stray Kids. It reads: "Ahead of their contracts expiring early next year, all Stray Kids members Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin and IN have renewed their contracts. Stray Kids, who showcases unique music and powerful performances in the global music market, and JYP, who led and planned their growth journey, have finalized contract renewals based on strong confidence and high ambitions for the future."
