HBO has released a statement regarding the House of the Dragon season 2 finale that leaked online.

Although the season 2 finale of House of the Dragon will not air until August 4, 2024, on July 30, 2024, several clips were illegally uploaded to a TikTok account and subsequently shared on other social media sites.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, HBO has now issued a statement regarding the leak. The season finale of House of the Dragon Season 1 also leaked online early, while Game of Thrones has a long history of episodes leaking early.

"We are aware that clips from the season finale of House of the Dragon have surfaced on social media platforms," the statement reads. "The clips were posted following an inadvertent release by an international third-party distributor. HBO is aggressively monitoring and removing clips from the internet, and fans can watch the episode in its entirety this Sunday night on HBO and Max."
