Hell of a Summer First Look Trailer | Fred Hechinger, Abby Quinn, Pardis Saremi
Starring Wolfhard, Bryk and Fred Hechinger (Gladiator 2), the film, fully financed and produced by 30West, follows 24-year-old camp counselor Jason Hochberg (Hechinger), who arrives at Camp Pineway thinking his biggest problem is a disconnected relationship with his teenage peers. Little does he know, a masked killer is stalking the camp, brutally picking off counselors one by one.
Hell of a Summer was produced by Hechinger, Michael Costigan and Jason Bateman of Aggregate Films, Drew Brennan and Jay Van Hoy of Parts & Labor. In her review of the film at last year's Toronto Film Festival, where it had its world premiere, Deadline's Valerie Complex wrote, "With a cast that shines and two first-time directors who show immense promise, this is a film that will leave audiences with a smile on their faces and a knife in their back."
Neon recently saw its biggest success to date with the Maika Monroe and Nicolas Cage horror film Longlegs , which has now grossed over $100 million worldwide, and has also been beefing up its genre credentials of late with the release of Cuckoo , the Hunter Schafer-starring film, and Black Bear’s Immaculate , starring Sydney Sweeney. The company has already re-teamed with Perkins, C2, and Black Bear on The Monkey , a hit adaptation of the Stephen King short story starring Theo James, set to hit theaters on February 21, 2025. Additionally, Neon is set to release Perkins’ upcoming feature film Keeper , starring Tatiana Maslany and Rossif Sutherland, and will re-team with Monroe on They Follow , the anticipated sequel to David Robert Mitchell’s modern classic horror film It Follows.
