Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez mobilized members of the House of Representatives on Tuesday to help the thousands of fishermen affected by the oil spill.

“Hindi natin hihintayin na humingi sila ng tulong sa atin. It is possible that you could have an accident if you can no longer go to your governor,” Romualdez said.
“The livelihoods of our fishermen are at stake. We must act quickly to limit the damage and provide the necessary support,” he added.
The party leader urged lawmakers from Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan and Cavite to work with the affected communities to determine what assistance they need.
