Irv Gotti charged with assault by former comrade
Irv Gotti, co-founder of Murder Inc. Records and lead singer of rappers Ja-Rule and Jay-Z, is being sued by an ex-partner for alleged sexual assault and battery.
In a lawsuit filed July 11 in Miami-Dade, a woman identified only as Jane Doe accuses Gotti (born Irving Domingo Lorenzo), 54, of sexually assaulting and abusing her multiple times between 2020 and 2022 in St. Martin, Miami and Atlanta. The lawsuit requests a jury trial.
"After flying her to Saint Martin, Gotti forced Plaintiff to have sex with him," the court document states. "Gotti specifically threatened Plaintiff that he would send her home if she did not cooperate … and because of his power and influence in the music business, she complied."
