The House of Representatives Budget Committee begins deliberations on the proposed P6.352-T national budget for 2025
Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez and House Budget Committee chairman and Ako Bicol party-list Rep. Elizaldy Co are expected to open the committee's deliberations on the National Expenditures Program (NEP) for 2025, submitted last week by the Department of Budget and Management.
The first to participate in the deliberations are the members of the Development Budget Coordination Committee (DBCC): Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, Finance Secretary Ralph Recto, National Economic and Development Authority Director General Arsenio Balisacan and Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor Eli Remolona Jr.
The four are expected to discuss the status of the country's economy and the macroeconomic assumptions used in drawing up the proposed 2025 spending programme.
