House leaders criticized Sen. Ronald Dela Rosa's "baseless and unparliamentary" position that the Quad Committee was formed to target him and former President Rodrigo Duterte.

David Suarez, Vice Speaker of the House of Representatives and Representative for Quezon, said that Dela Rosa's statements, aside from being baseless, only distract from the real issues at stake.
“The accusations made by Senator Dela Rosa are not only unnecessary but also unparliamentary and unbecoming of a public servant. The House leadership has always acted with the utmost integrity and it is highly irresponsible for anyone to suggest that they are behind a witch hunt against Senator Dela Rosa or former President Duterte,” Suarez said.
Suarez stressed that the Quad Committee was formed to find out the truth about the extrajudicial killings in Duterte's war on drugs, the distribution of illegal drugs and its connection to illegal POGO operations, and "it is not about politics, and never has been."
