According to Manuel Jose Dalipe, House of Representatives caucus leader and Zamboanga City Representative, the House of Representatives will continue committee investigations into controversial issues in addition to deliberating on the proposed 2025 national budget.

“Kinausap ako kahapon (Monday) ng ilang mga commission chairman natin na gumagawa ng mga hearings and they asked for guidance because normally in previous years we would hold all the other hearings when the budget was presented to us and we would focus on the budget,” Dalipe said.
“Hinihining can address the chairmen of the mga committee at the mga committee hearings. That is the problem in the hearing rooms of the iyong committee. We are going to open the hearing rooms of the committee, thank you, this year we have new rooms for the hearings of the committee,” he added.
Among the issues being investigated by House committees are alleged extrajudicial killings under the previous administration's war on drugs and crimes related to the activities of Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO).
